Put your lips (originally: Love in my revolution) was written for a Spoken Word Namibia show themed "Love and Revolution". The track takes you into the mind of a rebel/outcast/other/queer who craves change as much as they do love and how they want to use that love power to bring about or fuel that change.
lyrics
Put your lips
…………………
Chorus
Put your lips where my mouth is
Careful now
You might just like it
(x2)
I woke up this morning craving for a bit of change
And I was wondering if you could help a sister out
Just a little bit
I don’t need your confusion,
All I need is some love in my revolution
Chorus
Now, I’ve got enough sugar to sweeten up your bitter
But careful, too much of me and you could be a fine diabetic
Slow down sweet lover it’s a touch, not a French kiss
But I will accommodate your lips if you let me
Chorus
Put your lips
Where my mouth is
Careful now
You might just like it
Put your lips
Where my mouth is
Careful now
You might just like it, like it, like it, like it, like it, like it ooooh.
Hook
Put your lips, where my mouth is
(continue to fade)
